Nicolee is a London based writer and director. From the images and narrative she creates - whether it's rich colours, textures or nuances, she often borrows from her sensory memories of growing up in Hong Kong. She aims to tell stories that reflect the voices of her community, incorporating elements of her heritage through diverse subject matter, bilingual dialogue, and music. Her stories often explore themes of connection, food, and relationships, and influsing a sense of humour and energy.
Having honed her skills in music videos, collaborating with artists such as Olivia Dean, Lola Young, Nia Archives and Jianbo, Nicolee has since directed TVC for Bed Head, Royal Enfield, KFC, Mc Donald’s, Subway, Nike as well as Zalando. Her film ‘Home Again’ for Brick Lane cafe HOKO has earned her a Shots Best Direction nomination, a 1.4 shortlist and a silver Best Casting win at Kinsale Shark Awards. She's won a Bronze in Shots young director of the year and as the most promising commerical director at the Creative Circle. Her work has been featured on Nowness, Free The Work,Videoclip Italia, Girls in Film, Galdem, Booooooom TV, among others.
